Mushroom Gravy

Hi everyone! This week I made mushroom gravy; here’s my recipe...

Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients:
2 cups sliced mushrooms (I used baby bella)
1 ½ tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ cup water
½ teaspoon liquid smoke

Directions:
Saute the mushrooms with the canola oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Once the mushrooms have softened, add the flour, nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, then add ¼ cup water, stir, then add the final ¼ cup water. Continue stirring, add the liquid smoke, and then blend the gravy. Makes 1 cup gravy.

Served over mashed potatoes.

Here are Cringer and Daisy enjoying a restful moment on the packing paper they’ve been playing with recently...

And Leela, who posed for her picture this morning...

Peace. :)

  2. Sounds yummy. It's been awhile since I've had a blended/not-chunky gravy.
