Easter Food

Hi everyone! Zach and I hosted Easter dinner again this year; I think I’m getting better at perfecting the menu, haha! For a snack, we had Treeline cheese (we’d been planning on Miyoko’s but couldn’t find any nearby) with crackers, and I made a vegetable soup, but I forgot to take pictures of them, so moving on to the main event, heres my plate...

asparagus nut stir-fry, crescent roll with garlic powder and oregano, green beans (from my mom), corn and mac bake (from my sister), Tofurky vegan ham, and boiled potatoes with caramelized onions and dill

Dessert was a cake from my mom and a pie from Zach’s mom...

Bonus food: For dinner yesterday, I made yellow rice and asparagus, with some Gardein crabless cakes. The rice and asparagus were good, but the crabless cakes were just OK. I probably won’t get them again since there’s other Gardein foods that I enjoy more.

Here’s Daisy being a kitty loaf…

And then posing for her close-up...

Peace. :)

  1. Wow, everything looks amazing! The mac looks so creamy too! I have been wanting some baked goodies for a while but haven't gotten my hands on any yet so I'm definitely jealous of that dessert plate! Sweet Daisy is too adorable!

    1. Thanks, Sarah! My sister's mac was a popular dish; it's definitely nice & creamy! And the desserts really hit the spot! :)

  2. I like the crabless cakes with Vegenaise tartar sauce, but without it they're not as good. There are some suggested recipes with them that I haven't tried, though. How was the Treeline cheese? I haven't tried it yet, but I've wondered if it was worth the price tag.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion of the Vegenaise tartar sauce; maybe if the crabless cakes go on sale again, I'll give them another try! I liked the Treeline cheeses -- we got the herb-garlic and scallion flavors; they were both good but I liked the scallion one a little bit more. :)

  3. What a perfect little loaf, so pretty as well. ;)
That looks like a really nice dinner. We don't really do anything special food wise for Easter, other than all the hot cross buns in the world because I love them. But I did make a peach and basil pie this year just for fun.

The crabless cakes aren't my favorite either. Although my recently turned vegan seafood loving coworker loves them!!
Kitty loafs are the best loafs in the world!!!

    1. Thanks, Hillary! And yeah, there was only one of the Tofurky hams left when I finally got around to my Easter grocery shopping, so I was lucky, haha! :)

    2. We have just got the Tofurky ham here on the weekend! But at $33 for it, I am in no rush to get it right now. Damn import prices!
