Wrapping up 2020

Hi everyone! Figured I'd get in one last post before the new year, so here's some of what I've been eating. It's mostly simple meals since I've been trying to use stuff up at home, but first are these sweet potato fries that I got as part of a grocery order from Kimberton Whole Foods; they were good, but so spicy!

More mac & Chao with green beans...

A burrito with rice, pinto beans, crushed sweet spicy chili Doritos, and guacamole...

A salad with crushed root veggie chips for some added crunch...

Spaghetti with Gardein beefless ground...

Vegan Treats!

Ramen with added veggies and Boca...

Christmas cookies from Crust Vegan Bakery from a friend!

Chocolate peanut butter cups from my mom...

Upton's cheesy bacon mac with tater tots and pickles...

A simple Christmas dinner at home...

Chicken noodle soup...

Pizza rolls with tater tots...

And today's lunch, spicy mac & Chao with tater tots and pickles...

Here's hoping for better times in (and out of) the kitchen in 2021. Who knows, maybe I'll actually break into some of the cookbooks I've gotten this year...

Could Daisy be any cuter? I'd like to know how it would be possible...

Chicken Noodle Soup, Hummus, and SuTao Cafe Takeout

Hi everyone! I made a big batch of chicken noodle soup this week, using soy curls; it was quite delicious!

I also tried this new hummus, which was good with pretzels...

And I finally did another takeout order from SuTao Cafe! I got vegetable fried rice, veggie shrimp toast, veggie chicken, and wonton soup. Also spring rolls, but I forgot to take a pic before finishing those off!

Rogue insisted on some quality cuddle time this week, pinning me down with her cuteness...

Curry and a Firebird!

Hi everyone! Short post today because I didn't have much new or exciting in the way of food this week, but I did try the porkless Thai curry from Gardein (served, of course, with a vegan egg roll from Wegmans). It was good, and I'm glad I gave it a try, but I don't know that I'd buy this skillet meal again; I've enjoyed other ones more.

The Firebird Festival was cancelled this year, so we made our own little firebirds and lit them in the backyard last night. This was mine -- made from red tissue paper, toothpicks, and staples...

Another day, another pic of Cringer using Daisy as a pillow; it's just that time of year!

Peace. :)
