Hi everyone! Today's Vegan MoFo prompt is "Brunch," so I made the Quinoasage and Potato Tofu Scramble from House Vegan: Fall FoMo No More. My only
changes were to use canola oil instead of olive oil and to leave out the
fennel seeds and the optional scallion at the end. It turned out really well, and I even went back for seconds!
Here's my Inktober sketch…
And from last night, here's Daisy being a pillow for Cringer, the very persistent cuddler…
Peace. :)

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate Mix
Hi everyone! The last day of Vegan MoFo is here; how did it go so fast? Today's prompt is: Food Gifts – Do you like to give food as a gift? Or receive? Show/tell us! I don't usually give food as a gift, but I decided to test out a recipe that sounded perfect for a holiday food gift: the peanut butter hot chocolate mix from House Vegan: Fall FoMo No More. It's super simple to make, and Zach and I gave it a try tonight. I used almond milk and Zach used coconut milk; we both thought it was delicious!
Thanks to everyone who read and commented; I hope you all had a wonderful Vegan Month of Food!
Here's Daisy doing her part to donate cat hair to Zach's hoodie...
Peace. :)

MiniMoFo #3: Welcoming Fall
Hello everyone! For the third MiniMoFo challenge, I made Coconut Pumpkin Bread, another recipe from House Vegan: Fall FoMo No More. It turned out really well; coconut and pumpkin are such a perfect combination! This is sure to become a traditional fall recipe for me!
I realized the other day that I haven't shared any of my sketches here recently, so here's the fall-themed art I did on Tuesday night when I went out with Zach and some of his soccer friends. The "tablecloths" were brown paper and they provided colored pencils in a jar on the table, so I decided to art the night away...
And now for some major cuteness...
As fall settles in and the nights grow colder, cuddles are certainly called for, so Cringer has been diligently working on softening Buttons up to the idea. One night she was bold and pressed her nose into Buttons' side, but that didn't last long (I tried to get a picture but Buttons moved before I could). So, on Wednesday night, Cringer settled for just resting her head on the corner of the purple blanket...
...but by Thursday night, something clicked, and they finally they settled in, side by side!
Daisy, on the other paw, works on getting close to Leela during the day. This endeavor is going to be more of a challenge because Leela really only likes to cuddle humans, not fellow kitties. But Daisy can be patient...
P.S. Less than one week left to sign up for Vegan MoFo! I signed up last night; have you?
Peace. :)

MiniMoFo #2: Foodie Crush
Hello everyone! For the second MiniMoFo challenge, I picked Hannah Teson of House Vegan. Last year, I had the opportunity to test some of her delicious recipes for House Vegan: Fall FoMo No More. Last night, I made Chickpeas and Dumplings, a recipe from her book!
It was a fun dinner to prepare (especially the dumplings!), and it makes a very filling meal. (Zach thought it was good, too.) Also, the leftovers are great; I had some for my lunch today! So, be sure to check out Hannah's blog and book -- she is awesome and her recipes are always so creative!
Here's Daisy, Cringer, and Buttons sharing an open window to excitedly sniff the fall air yesterday...
...and Leela, all tuckered out and ready for bedtime cuddles last night...
Peace. :)
