Hi everyone! My food this week has been more of the same; I kept things simple with a mix of leftovers and quick meals. I didn't bother to take any food pics except for this one of some SuTao leftovers (vegetable fried rice with lots of broccoli and veggie chicken)...
By now I have a pretty good understanding of how my brain works with regards to anxiety, so I made the executive decision to stay off social media for a solid five days (Tuesday to Saturday). Most of last week was spent helping at the pantry, hanging out with Zach and the kitties, watching nature documentaries and She-Ra, and getting a ton of reading done. And yesterday, we took a hike with Zach's family in Evansburg State Park, so here are some pictures to enjoy!
Daisy says hello!
Peace. :)

Good for you for understanding what makes you manage your anxiety! For me that's something I'm still learning.
ReplyDeleteHi, Daisy!
Thank you; it's still a work in progress, but it's nice to find things that help and be able to do them! :)
DeleteI have to take breaks from social media too. Especially in regards to politics, and around the election.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to figure out and manage my anxiety too.
The beautiful pictures definitely help! I think I've told you that your nature pictures touch that sentimental part of my brain!!
Hi Daisy, you gorgeous gal!
Yup, I knew I'd feel the need to constantly refresh and check and all that if I allowed myself to go on social media during the election; I'm proud of myself that I was able to stay away for several days!
DeleteAnd I'm glad you enjoy the nature pictures! :)
Hello Daisy!
ReplyDeleteGood call in knowing what is good for your brain. I was trying to avoid the election too much here, at least until there were results. But even though I told my parents to not tell me stuff, my dad would still come and give me updates. Sigh. Even in Australia, we were all anxious.
Yeah, Zach made sure to only give me positive updates, like how Sarah McBride was elected in Delaware and will be the first openly transgender state senator! Good news like that I was happy to hear! :)
