Holmes: Salmonella, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, mercury poisoning, Anisakis simplex…. But yeah, sushi’s good.
I made the vegan sushi from this post on My cat loves Daiya! Never having rolled and cut sushi before, I was actually rather impressed with the end results. I mean, they were kinda squished and quite messy, but they didn’t completely fall apart, and the spicy mayo was such a fun addition!

That's pretty great for your first attempt! When I was first trying to make sushi I had a tendency to put way too much filling in and then end up with giant sushi rolls. I've gotten better with practice and I'm sure if you try making it again you'll get better at it. But I can't do it well without a proper sushi rolling mat--I swear by that.

DeleteMaking sushi is a lot of fun! There is something soothing about rolling up with the mat. That said, I hardly ever make it. But when the weather warms up again, I need to get onto that.
