Hi everyone! Last night I prepared the PB&J overnight oats from Go Vegga (Vegan MoFo 2015), so I got to enjoy a fun new breakfast this morning! I still prefer warm oatmeal, but I certainly see the appeal of overnight oats, especially when you include peanut butter!
Here’s a sleepy Daisy in the cat tower…
Peace. :)
Have you had hot PBJ oatmeal? It's so nice! Just put a dollop of peanut butter and a dollop of jelly on top. It melts into the oatmeal. SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to try that, thanks for the suggestion! :D
DeleteI want to like overnight oats but I can't handle cold oatmeal!!
ReplyDeleteHi Daisy!
Cold oatmeal really isn't my thing, but the peanut butter helped, haha! :)
DeleteYes, finally someone who agrees! Why would anyone want cold oatmeal?!
ReplyDeleteOvernight oats has the convenience factor, but I prefer taking the time for warm oatmeal! :)
DeleteI also prefer cooked oatmeal, but I do think overnight oats are OK in the summer if it's too hot to eat anything warm. I love the PB&J combo in warm oatmeal too! Sleepy Daisy looks so cute <3
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bonnie! And good point about having the overnight oats in summertime; now that it's getting cooler, I'm so focused on warm foods! :)
DeleteI like both overnight oats and hot oats. Coming into summer here, hot cereals are just not what I want. But I love overnight oats cold from the fridge. I also like that you make them in advance, so that they are ready to go in the morning. But I can definitely understand how there could be texture issues for some people.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think I should give this recipe a second try next summer! :)
